Letter from the Chair

Congratulations to the Schluger-Ammons Study Club on the launch of its outstanding new website!

It has been a pleasure working over the past two years with Lorne Lavine and Minou Karbasch in their roles as officers of the alumni association. We are excited about the many new alumni outreach initiatives and activities planned for the coming months.

There's lots of exciting things are happening in the graduate program, and we are sending out as many newsletters as possible with all the updates (copied on this SASC website).  If you are not receiving them via email or regular mail, please update your contact info with the department and with the SASC database.

We are especially looking forward to the American Academy of Periodontology Annual Meeting, which will be held in Seattle this year. We hope all of our alumni will take this opportunity to return, visit the school, reconnect with former classmates and colleagues, and join us for the alumni events scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings, October 28–29, 2026.

Our Graduate Periodontics Program has benefited tremendously from the expertise, mentorship, and commitment to exceptional patient care demonstrated by our distinguished alumni. Your continued engagement and support help strengthen our program and inspire future generations of periodontists.
